5 MORE DAYS!

Only 5 days 'till Christmas! I've decided that I don't really enjoy decorating the tree, or the house as much, but I really enjoy wrapping presants! LOL Don't know why, it's just fun for me.

I think I'll make some toffee today... just sounds like the thing to do this time of year. I may or may not give it away. LOL I'd like to make gingerbread cookies, like we did with my mom when I was little. But the only recipe I have is for gingersnaps, which turn out round and not in fun cookie cutter shapes, like we did. I have a few cookie cutters that have Christmasy shapes, so I may have to do a search for the right kind of gingerbread... or just make sugar cookies.

Be good! Or Santa won't come to your house!

So... Christmas is comming and I'm having trouble getting into the Christmas spirit. I think listening to Christmas music has helped, but the traditional stuff doesn't really appeal to me. I need to find some music that does and spreads the joy that I should be feeling this time of year. We put up the tree about a week ago, and I was in such a bad mood. I got totally annoyed with putting the stupid lights on the tree and bonked my head on the ledge above the fireplace. haha That put me in a worse mood, and I threw the lights and stormed off to my room to grump. The kids put the ornaments on, and they still aren't all on... Christms is in less than 2 weeks... I'm just not feeling it yet this year.

*sigh* I don't mean to be depressing, but with everyone getting sick and time ticking by too quickly it just makes the stress build.

This Friday is our traditional "Lucia" play. I'm excited about it, but some how they've talked me into being on stage to help the little kids again... I always feel so huge up there with all those tiney kids... maybe they always choose me though, because I'm the shortest adult there. haha Tim wants me to get a little santa dress to wear, we'll see about that. hehe

Anyway... I tried to post my Christmas music playlist... but couldn't figure out how to get it on there.

I'll be sure to post some pictures of the Lucia when I get them.

An uninteresting blog beginning...

So... My sister-in-law and sister have been trying to get me to start a blog for a while now, and I come up with all kinds of excuses not to do it. Really, I don't know who would actually think anything I say is interesting.
So today I was trying to join a free didgital scrapbooking thing, and they won't let me sign up without my blog address! Isn't that weird?! So now I'm doing this too. In no time at all my whole life will be spent here at my pc. :oP
