20 THINGS I LEARNED THIS WEEKEND:
1. There is a high number of people who hang out in the passing lane and go under the speed limit, forcing others to break the law and pass on the right side.
2. Cruise control is a wonderful invention, but more effective when slower drivers aren't cutting in front of you!
3. It's scary when you're behind an 18 wheeler truck, and a tire blows out!
4. When an 18 wheeler looses a tire, despite the loud noise, flying tire debris, and shooting sparks, the driver feels no inclanation to stop, or even slow dawn.
5. You can sleep for 20 minutes in a car and feel as refreshed as if you just sleapt for 8 hours & ready to take your turn at the wheel.
6. There are several different speicies of Joshua tree... or was that the 20 minutes of sleep talking?
7. When stopping for breakfast at Denny's in Las Vegas; he who is the most praised for being the only one to eat everything on his plate will soon be quickly extracted from the vehicle to review the contents of said breakfast on the side of the road.
8. Don't ever cross a bride on her wedding day, or a menstral girl either... just don't do it!
9. Little girls always get diarhea at the worst possible times.
10. Long raod trips may lead to irregular bowels...
11. Great Grandmas always have prune juice handy.
12. Prune juice works wonders!
13. Despite your better judgement, a GPS system never lies.
14. You can program a GPS to use different languages, accents, voices, and distance measurments.
15. A GPS is most effective in the language you understand the best.
16. Children always have to use a restroom when the next rest stop is hours away.
17. When you stop in the middle of no where to let children relieve themselves out doors; little girls may cry out of fear, but boys are more likely to giggle with glee.
18. Children are wonderful on road trips, once they're doped up on Dramamine and fast asleep.
19. When driving on little sleep; watch for fingers before you close the car door!
20. Man, it's good to be home!!!
Here are some pictures from Dan & Araceli's wedding:
And here are some pictures from visiting some of Tim's family, Friday and Sunday (Tim's Birthday);
It was so nice to see my brother get married! I'm so happy for them! He really found a great girl, and I'm so glad she's my sister-in-law!
I'm also glad we got to visit Tim's mom, sister & Grandma! It was nice hanging out with them all and getting to know eachother a little more.
I had a lot of fun, and I'm so glad Tim's boss let him borrow his GPS! It helped so much! Those things are pretty cool, and apperently not all that expensive... we'll probably buy one some time.
